Can someone tell me how to get the "IE" icon back on my desktop. It just
plain disappeared on me. :-) I know there is someplace to check but I
forget. Not the icon on the toolbar with "Quick Launch"

One more question I have that puzzles me. Some of my test, for instance a
word like Jill....the ill have a orange outline & wonder if anybody know
what causes this.

Yes - I have trouble remembering this one too.

Display Properties >Desktop > Customize Desktop > Desktop Icons

If an icon is already the Quick Launch bar, the easiest way to get it the
desktop is to right-drag it there, then choose Copy or Move, whichever you
want.

Where (in what program) are you seeing this? Does it always happen with the
same word? Is this a word you typed or pasted from somewhere else?

any word that mostly ends if "ill" has this orange outline. I see it in
Explorer ( my directory) & even in mail. I used to think it was my eye sight
<vbg>until my friend now has the same thing. It just seems to be on any
letters

We both used the Clear Type program we downloaded from Microsoft but my PC
monitor (19") & laptop are both LCD (14.1"). So are hers. She just got this
"LG" monitor last week & didn't seem to have this until yesterday?
