Bill

Recently had to do a total HD reformat and XP Home
install. Have been downloading XP and software updates
and then "fixing" registry with VCOM Software Suite 5.
Recently some software packages (like spybot search and
destroy) throw up an error message saying
that "framedyn.dll" not found, application can't be
run.... But the application runs anyway! Anyone know
what this DLL does and how to get it back on my system?

thanks

"rocky",

thanks for your help.... I actually did go to the MS
knowledge base and found the "solution".. although it
didn't work as the knowledge base suggested. In fact, all
I did was "save" the path to the file (it wasn't
deleted)... didn't change anything... but as long as it
worked...

My worry now is that I don't know how XP lost the path to
this dll. I am worried about SystemSuite being the
problem as I have been useing norton systemworks for about
3 years to maintain the registry and only switched to
systemsuite this year... Have you heard anything about
SS5 causing problems?

thanks,

bill

Use system "tuners" and "tweakers" at your own risk. Those toys can cause
serious problems.
