HI GUYS:
USING WINDOW WASHER 5; I ALLOWED IT TO DELETE WHAT I
THOUGHT WOULD BE ONLY EMPTY, DUPLICATE FOLDERS AND
SUBFOLDERS. I'VE LOST SOME FILES FROM COREL WORD PERFECT
8 BECAUSE IT WON'T EVEN OPEN THE PROGRAM.
ANY ADVICE FOR THIS AMATEUR??????

Does that utility has an UNDO function? Use it.
Otherwise, try a reinstall of Corel.

Please post in both UPPER and lowercase. Thanks.

I haven't used Window Washer. But, most utilities of its type have an
option for backing up to a folder on your hard drive, anything you delete.
(Don't use any third party cleanup utility that doesn't have this option)
If Window Washer has that option, and it was selected, then there should be
on option somewhere in the utility to restore any or all of the deleted
files. If Window Washer doesn't have that option, or you chose not to
backup the deleted files, then you'll have to reinstall Corel Word Perfect
to get back the needed files. Although some clean up utilities find what
they call duplicate files. Some of the duplicates may not be the same
VERSION of the file, or even though duplicated, might be needed to be in a
folder for that specific program, rather then in any of the Windows
folders. Never delete a file that isn't backed up, until you're sure that
your system and its programs function properly without it.
