lost files

this si actually from windows 98, but I though I would give it a shot. I have
an old computer with many problem I was finally able to hook the internet up
to so I could recover my pictures. I emailed the entire My Pictures folder to
myself everything seemed great but when I opened it on my new comp. it was
showing the pictures from that computer????? Very strange but that is what
happened. Is it because of 2 different operating systems? Second problem was
after i mailed the folder liek an idiot deleted the folder and emptied
recycle bin. Any suggestions???

The 98 groups are alive and well, please use one of those.

Hanging yourself is the first thing that comes to mind. It would end
your misery and also help to cleanse the gene pool.

You should post to a windows98 newsgroup. Here is a list of MS public
newsgroups.
