Lost Favorites

After installing software for a second ISP I lost my list of favorites in IE6. The new list only had one entry "Links" whereas my original list had dozens of folders and hundreds of sites. The original file is still there under "my login id/ documents and settings/ favorites but ie6 does not see it. It does see my desktop and my address book etc. Anyone know how to get it back?

All other settings relating to my log-in id are still there.
