Hello,

I was having some problems sending my emails so I decided to restore all my
defaults and start afresh. The problem is that now I realize that I have
lost all the emails that I downloaded from my mail server. When I contacted
my mail server administrator he said that the emails were deleted
immediately I downloaded them to my Outllook 2002. But my inbox now shows
that I have nothing in it. Can someone please help me on how I can retrieve
those lost emails?

Thanks guyz.

Look for a file with a pst extension, if you are running Windows 2000 or
Windows XP then you need to turn on "Show Hidden Files and Folders" from
Control Panel > Folder Options > View menu. When you find a pst file look at
its modified date to determine which one you want and then start Outlook and
from the File menu select Open > Outlook Data File and browse to the
pst. This should open in your folder list (if the folder list isn't showing
then toggle it on from the View menu), you can then drag and drop the items
in the folder. To remove this pst then right click on it in the folder list
and choose close, note this will only remove it from Outlook and not delete
it.

Hello,

I have tried your suggestion but I still don't seem to get it. When I click
open after highlighing the pst file it says it is not a personal file. When
i highligh the other pst file it doesn't say anything but I don't see the
folder on the folder list. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for your time.
