lost email

hi,had to reload windows vista and when i sign up to windows mail again the
mail that i used to keep
have all gone . it is possible to get them back?
 
It depends on how Vista was reinstalled.
Search your hard drive for a folder named Windows.old.
If it exists, your old mail will be in there.
 
If he named his new profile the same as his old one would not Vista
overwrite his user directory?

I suppose, but that's not what I'm advocating. The OP can copy
the emails from Windows.old to his new profile.

i have re installed vista from factory setting,if this help

Did your computer hard disk reformat? There's usually an option to have the
computer do a complete reinstall of everything, getting it back to it's
original factory state. Everything gets wiped when that happens. The old
partition is deleted, a new one created and formatted and the OS is
reinstalled just as it was when you first purchased the computer. Again, if
that happened you'll need a really good data recovery program, and even that
might not work. I hope that's not the case if you badly need your messages.
