I lost all of the last twelve months e-mails and my address book last Friday.
Please explain how this could have happened and how to recover them

Thank you

While your "query" may be important, it has nothing to do with Microsoft
Access Query objects.

You may need to restore from a recent backup.

If you're using Microsoft Outlook for your EMail reader (you don't
say), you'll do better to ask this question in an Outlook newsgroup.
Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup.

I suspect that your OUTLOOK.PST file has been deleted or damaged; if
you can't recover it somehow you will need to get it from a backup. If
you can't salvage it and you don't have a backup then it's as if you
had dropped your ringbound address book into the river: it's gone.
