I recently purchased a Sony DV 101 digicamcorder. After I installed the
software, the computer and camera were unable to see each other, and then my
computer started slowing down. When I went to look in device manager, device
manager was nowhere to be found. The flashlight just kept looking around.
I've checked around a few others seem to be having problems with digital
camcorder software, one with the exact problem but no solution; this is
befuddling. Now all seems to be working all right, except device manager is
still lost. Unfortunately system restore was turned off, so I couldn't do
that. Should I try a windows XP repair? I ran Norton Utilities but it didn't
fix the problem.

System: 2.4 processor, 512 RAM, ASUS MB, ATI 9500Pro Video, XP Pro.

Thanks

Rich

Agree to restart, then type:EXIT Restart computer.Run the DOS window in Min
sometimes the graph runs behind it at first run.The software obviously didnt agree wit
xp,chk the mfg web site for installation details,or update. You should also open even
viewer, chk for erors/events when you loaded the software,if found,go to the url thats wit
it,that opens help/support in xp.
