LIGHTS WENT OUT FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND SHUT ME DOWN. ALL
DATA INPUT LOST. CAN I RETRIEVE THIS DATA BACK SOMEHOW?

Bummer. Probably not, is my guess. Anything in memory and not saved to
disk is gone. Files open may have been corrupted, too. However, depending
on your OS (?) and the program you're using to input (?) there may be
options. Post full details.

Word, for example, has a facility to extract text from any file, but it's
not installed by default, and is only there in Office 2000 and later, I
think.

I once lost a full 8 hours data when someone pulled a plug. I hadn't saved
it once. Once learned, never forgotten...

Good luck!

Please don't use all caps in your posts. As well as being difficult to
read, it's also considered as shouting on newsgroups and quite rude. As for
your question, if you lost power and hadn't saved your work, then no, it's
gone... You should save frequently...
