Lost Data

I'm using AC 2007.
I've recently added a memo field (Notes) to a table and inserted the field
onto
a form. It's the only field on the form. It's used primarily for quick way
of jotting
down notes and reminders. I opened the form today and found that the text I
had typed in a couple days ago was deleted. Showing #Deleted in the field.
When I try to put the text back Access tells me:
'Your changes cannot be saved because the field 'Notes' had been updated by
another user'.
Then I get the message:
'Cannot save the record at this time.....'
Don't know who this other user is.... be must be my cat.
Any ideas on how this was deleted?? Call me crazy but I didn't do it.

This is a kind of corruption. The lengthy memo data is not stored in-line
with the other data, but in another location within your database file. If
the pointer to that location goes bad, Access can't find the data for that
record.

If you can't delete the record, you can create a new table and import the
other rows (being careful not to refer to the problem one. Details in:
Symptom: Some table rows show #Deleted
at:

Hopefully that gets your cat off the hook. :-)

Thanks. I deleted the form and created a new one. No big deal
just added the memo field to it.
