We run XP home. There are 5 profiles on the computer all
work fine execpt one when you select that user at log
on ... it can't find the profile and provides a standard
screen. The users data still appears there ... went to
the part where you can copy a profile and while you can
copy other users, this user has the copy button greyed
out and doesnt work

Any advise

Make certain you logon as a user other than the one you are
trying to copy. For more information see the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base article:

KB811151 - How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to
a new profile
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?Product=winxp&scid=kb;en-us;811151

Please note the "Note" in KB811151 which says, "You must import
your e-mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before
you delete the old profile".

Also note that you will have to reconfigure any per-user settings
(customized user settings) such as desktop settings, persistent
network connections, and application settings.
