Lost contact with server

Downloaded an updated version of F-secure, the Internet Security 2010. The
incoming and outgoing mails go though only when the computer is started. A
few seconds after that the connection is stuck.
 
Disable any email scanning in F-Secure. If no improvement, do a
trial uninstall of F-Secure, reboot, then try Windows Mail again.
