Lost cd-rom and DVD-r drives

Both cd-rom and DVD writer have disappeared from My computer, can not
load drivers ,error code 31,Have gone through the usual steps re-load
drivers etc but no luck. What to do ?

Below corrected the problem I did not have the Easy CD creator
installed , Thank you for the help.

You're welcome. You are correct in that EZ-CD isn't the only culprit
that does this, but the symptoms were there.
