I am rolling out new PC's with XP Pro. Now the users are
getting Access denied doing normal day work. If they log
into a windows 2000 pc, everything is fine. in a windows
xp pc, their account appears to be more restrictive. I
have made the users power users(which they were before on
the 2000 pc)and they still have problems. If they log on
localy onto the pc (no domain), everything seems fine.
when they get authenticated throught the domain, they lose
rights. Is there something in xp that overides other
permissions that windowss 2000 does not. It does not
happen on windows 2000 computers. please help..

What are they getting access denied to. It may be some
registry permissions that should be set.

Welcome to the club. I have the same problem. The user is
set as admin/full access, but cannot install anything or
have the apps show the proper toolbars unless Run As is
used which works even choosing the same user/domain, but
not when logged on.
