Losing internet connection and other problems

Ed B.

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro on my PC and have had strange
problems ever since.

I lose my internet connection about once a day and I have to reboot to
get it back. I've done an ipconfig /all before and after I lose my
connection, and nothing has changed. I still have an IP address, but
a /release /renew doesn't fix it. I did notice that when doing an
ipconfig it shows Node Type as Unknown.

Also, when I try to connect to a share on this machine, I get the
following message on the machine I'm trying to connect from: "Not
enough server storage is available to process this command."

Lastly Windows Explorer is incredibly slow when I try to scroll
through the files in a folder that contains more than a couple hundred
files.

This is a 2 Ghz machine and XP has all the latest patches. I have also
tried different ports on my router, and this machine worked fine
before the reinstall.

Thanks,
Ed

this problem maybe do by firewall. check the setting up your firewall. If
use ZoneAlarm firewall is a big problem.
Or modem broadcast band maybe damaged. Check with another modem.
