My boss has a new WindowsXP computer on which he is
listed in the Administrator group. When he is logged on
the network, he cannot delete folders, run some programs,
nor change file type associations. When logged on to
Workstation only, he can. Is there a way he can be logged
on to the network and still be able to run all the
programs and manage his folders? We've completely re-
installed WindowsXP again and still have the same problem.
Thanks,
Eileen

You will probably find two profiles under Documents and
Settings. Your boss' login and one called login.domain.

If so, you have two accounts for the computer, a local
account and a network based account.

Add your boss' network based account as a user with
administrative or power user privileges in the Control
Panel/Users applet.

"workstation only", eh? Sounds like a Novell logon prompt. Check the
Windows account that is associated with the Novell logon that your boss
is using. It might not be the same account as he is using when he clicks
"workstation only".
