When I attempt to open Outlook 2000, the following message
appears:
The File C:\Windows\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst could not be found.
I accidentally deleted a User Profile, which I believe is
causing the problem.
I tried a *.pst search and found
C:\WINDOWS\Username\outlook but when I re-attempted
opening Outlook, I was prompted for a Password. The
problem is I never had a password in the past, so I was
denied access to the file.
I searched trough the MS Knowledge Base and a bit of the
Newsgroup posts, but I was not successful. So I thought
that I would try to post a message.
Is there a way that I can safely re-store the missing Pst
file? Or Do I have to create a new Pst folder as prompted
by Outlook?
Did I Back-Up the Outlook Pst files? No, but, I assure you
that If I get them back I will be backing them up in the
future.
Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your
time.
