Verizon uses the MAC address of your computer to give out IP addresses and it
will not give out a second ip address until the first address is released
(this also releases the mac address in their system). If you have more that
one computer that connects to verizon directly, then before you shut down
your computer you must run at the cmd prompt ipconfig /release. If you
connect the last computer that did connect to verizon and use ipconfig
/release then connect your second computer, it will connect.
If you do use more that one computer to connect to verizon, then it would be
a suggestion to buy a DSL modem, i.e. Linksys. be sure to do an ipconfig
/release before you connect the dsl modem. After that you should not have any
problems.
