Loose text format copy/paste within presentation

How do I retain text format when copied within the presentation. Not from one
to another. I do not want to past text and then have to copy the format.

With PPT 2002/2003, you should have an option to "keep source formatting" or
"use template formatting" when you paste. Just click to "keep source
formatting."
 
I know of this function and use it today - is there a way to set a default so
that pasting always (in alle sessions )uses the placeholders format
