Hi,

I have some computers with 3 partitions.
Partition1 is Windows XP (Drive C)
The other two partitions are drive D and drive E.

When I restore partition1 with the XP-image the other two partitions
dissapear in XP.
IE, the partitions are present on the HD, but they have lost their drive
letters.
So, when I go into diskmanagement and assign the D: and E: to these
partitions they reappear in XP.

I restore the XP image on partition1 with PowerQuest DeployCenter using
Drive Image and a script.

Any thoughts ?
How do i make XP automatically discover these two "lost" partitions ?

Run Drive Image from the boot disks instead. When recovering or
creating an image of Drive C, Drive Image has to reboot the machine to
a "virtual" partition and run the program. This may be your problem.
In any event, you should probably refer this to Powerquest tech
support.

This is "Expected" behavior for Drive Image. When you restore a
partition, it will automatically "hide" the other partitions on that same
disk. There is an option in DI to uncheck for this action. However,
I don't believe with Version 6.0 that it works. You'll need PQMagic
or other partitioning software to unhide the partitions after a recovery.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips.
I did a search for this on PQ's homepage and found

Selct Drive XX
Select Partition YY
UNHIDE

I guess this will solve my case.

I'll try this first thing on monday ;-)
