lookup record button on form

i need to know the best way to add a lookup button to my form that will
reposition the record but not apply a filter. is find the only way?

i do not want to write VBA get/set stuff.

If you add a combo-box to your form and use the Wizard, it will give you the
option to 'go to the specified record'.
