Want to look up a price for a part # in one worksheet and inserting it into another worksheet when the part # is entered.

vw

Assuming you have a list of items and prices on A1:B100
Items on column A, Prices on column B

Then you have the Item you are looking for in C1
On D1 type:

=vlookup(c1,a1:b100,2,0)

If item not found you will get an #N/A error, if found,
the price (or what ever is in column 2 of the array)

Cheers

still isn't working right. It will look up the 10000 on any line but not the other numbers

Cross-Arm 10000 2.62
15350 #N/A
10000 2.62
16200 #N/A
13700 #N/A
13700 63.08
13900 6.42
14500 30.00
15350 3.64
10000 2.62

The following is a part of the other worksheet that it looks at.

10000 2.62 ADAPTER, INSULATOR
10500 5.05 ANC SHACKLE
11800 8.78 ANC,PISA 3/4X10"" REGULAR
12100 11.6 ANC,PISA 3/4X12"" REGULAR
12900 9 ANC,RD 3/4X7' SINGLEYE PISA
13400 4.85 ARMOR ROD, LONG #4ACSR
13700 63.08 ARMOR ROD, LONG 4/0ACSR
13900 6.42 ARMOR ROD, SHORT #4ACSR
14500 30 ARRESTOR, LIGHTNING 10 KV

16200 1.48 BOLT, CARRIAGE 3/8"" X 5""
16400 1.46 BOLT, DBL ARMING 5/8X14""
16600 4.35 BOLT, DBL ARMING 5/8X18""
16700 3 BOLT, DBL ARMING 5/8X20""
16800 4.86 BOLT, DBL ARMING 5/8X22""
16900 5.28 BOLT, DBL ARMING 5/8X24""
17100 2.32 BOLT, MACHINE 1/2X06""
