I'm looking to purchase a scanner that will scan slides. Can anyone tell me
is it OK to scan them with the plastic/cardboard frame still around them?
Only got £100 UK to spend. Can anyone recommend one?

About £70 UK vat inc. This is the cheapest scanner on the Epson UK web site.

Yes you scan slides in the slide mount. Epson includes an adapter and holder
for 35mm slides
