Looking for XP Compatible ibmpmsvc.exe

I am trying to get a copy of the WinXP compatible version (the old one
crashes after installing SP2). I've looked on the IBM and Lenovo sites but
don't see that file..

You need to go to Lenovo's support site for your specific model
computer. You are looking for power management software, not a file
name as they may have changed the name. If you have a Thinkpad, Lenovo
also has a very handy little app that updates the built-in software.

That did the trick. I used the Lenovo auto-update and it resolved the
problem. Thanks again.
