Anyone know of a product similar to ERD Commander that would work on Vista?

Thanks

ERD Commander is what type of program? Yes, I could Google it but you are
the one asking for assistance.

It's a very well known recovery program from Winternals. It is basically XP
on a CD, which can be used to log into broken installations.

Sadly, with Microsoft buying Winternals, we are unlikely to see such a great
tool again.

The best thing you are likely to find is one of those compiled
administrative bootCDs, that are often filled with unlicenced software. You
can get ones based on BartPE, with a GUI and a few tools, some of which will
give similar abilities of ERD Commander.

You can also look for WinPE, which can actually be found on the web. There
are people that have added admin apps to WinPE, rather than ripped BartPE.
So you could look out for those dodgy CDs as well.

I meant WinPE 2.0, for the Vista based version of the CD.

I had vaguely heard about it but never had occasion to need it - hence my
lack of knowledge on the same.
