Looking for Internet Connection

I am using a Video Editing Program that requires an Internet Connection to
work. It used to work seamlessly and then every once in a while it would stop
working because it could not see the Internet Connection.

I use Roadrunner, a Broadband Cable Internet Service. I can be using the
Internet and the Program will still not be able to find the connection
(sometimes). Sometimes it will work. So evidently it is intermittant.

Where do I look in Windows XP Home (sp1) for the connection that programs
access in the background.

I am usink the Linksys Router to send the Internet to two (2) different
computers. Both of them will have the same problem when running this software.

When the program loses the Internet connection, are you still online?
Open a browser and see. If you are still online but the program thinks
you're not, you should contact the video editing program's tech
support. This may be a known issue with patches, workarounds, etc.

Why would you chose such a program that requires an internet connection
to work? Why does a video editing program require such a connection?
