I had a crash with my computer. I am ususing Outlook 2003.
I had to reinstall WIN XP and Outlook as well.

Is there any possibility to find my Outlook folders or have
they been erased with the new install? Where do I have to
look and if they still exist, how can I make the new install
read them?

Thanks!!!

If you didnt have to reformat the harddrive it is possible that your old
Outlook folders may still be on the machine. Here are some steps to help
you locate the Personal Folder File (.pst):
1. Go to Start -> Search.
2. Select All Files and Folders.
3. Go to Tools -> Folder Options.
4. Select the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders"
is selected under "Hidden files and folders".
5. Also Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and click OK.
6. Now in the "All or part of the file name:" put in *.pst.
This search should find the current .pst file and hopefully the old one you
should be able to tell which one it is by the "Date Modified" field in the
search window. When you find the old .pst file then make a note of the path
to it, which is listed in the "In Folder" column.

Now to Import the old information into Outlook:
1. Open Outlook.
2. Go to File -> Import and Export.
3. "Import from another program or file" should be highlighted if not then
Select it and Click Next.
4. Now Select Personal Folder File (.pst) and Click Next.
5. Click the Browse button and navigate to the location of the old .pst
file that we noted from the "In Folder" column above and Select the old
..pst file and Click Open.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Finish.
This should import the old .pst information into the new .pst file in
Outlook.

I hope this information is helpful.
