Hello,

My boss is looking for a registry tool which can be used to:
1) Save all the current registry settings to a file.
2) Compare two of those saved files to find differences in them.

What we are doing is making a change in an application, such as MS Word
2007 and looking to see what registry setting is made. Any help is
greatly appreciated!

Erunt may help
Hello,

Erunt makes backups of the registry and can then be used to restore the
registry from on of these backups. However, the files it generates are
probably not readable as text.

Regedit.exe that comes with windows can be used to dump the registry to
a text file with a .reg extension. You could then use WinDiff or a
similar program to compare two dumps.

here's one source for WinDiff:

There are probably a raft more freeware and shareware file comparison
utilities out there so you might try a Google search for them.

Hope this helps..

Later, Ray Parrish
