Nah;

They keep these records. These records can be subpoenaed. It'll take
time - a lot - but, eventually, even Do-no-Evil-Inc will be brought to bear.

Al,
Yep, I'm aware of this. Not only that, but I believe that a UDP is
called for against Google.

Perhaps a better idea would be an email campaign to the various
newsfeeds asking them not to propagate messages from Googlegroups.
