Longhorn Error during installation... (boot.ini)

Start Longhorn installation...

First step completed..
Rebooting machine...

When the loghorn installation restarting I have a error "during editing of
boot.ini file".

The boot.ini is not read only and is a standard boot.ini of windows Xp

Can you help me?

Windows Longhorn has not been released. Please dont
pirate Microsoft pre-release software. And if you going
to, dont be stupid enough to ask for help from Microsoft!
 
A friend give me this disk tell me that it's a copy of evaluation.. 90
days.. and that I can install it for free.
Sorry.. I don't know that was a pirate version..

technically it's pirated, YES but since it's a ALPHA do you really think
it's going to help any of us that have w2k or xp on our machines? we are just
bug hunting and having fun at it, my dad tinkers with cars, I tinker with
OS's we all have to choose our sickness

while I'm at it, let me ask for help too

I'm installing the latest alpha 4029, but I get a BSOD and here's what it
says (after figuring a way for those super fast cold reboots to go away and
actually be able to read the BSOD)

I have purchased DOS and windows from 3.0 to 1 upgrade of XP, so I think I
can paly with a ALPHA, that no doubt I will end up getting a upgrade for down
at Fry's 5 years from now.

but who knows, maybe Redhat 15 will be better by then ;), and we can switch
at last.
