When I shut down the PC, it takes ages for it to go from
the "Windows is Shutting Down" screen to the point of it
turning off the power.

Also, i know this is part of Norton Internet Security but
its really annoying that ccApp.exe doesn't respond when
shutting down, i have to click end now.

Thankyou to anyone that can help and sorry I can't be
more detailed.

My laptop takes a long time to shutdown when on the network. This may or
may not be your issue, but I thought I would mention it. I've isolated
the problem to the need for my "profile" to get copied back to the LAN
server which if on wireless LAN connection takes a long time due to very
large files, e.g. Outlook .PST files. I try to move what I can out of
the "profile" and into places like c:\data which are not then copied
back and forth on login/logout, but it's sometimes feels as though it's
a losing battle as Windows programs always "wants" to use the "profile"
folder tree for everything.

I already looked at that article about ccApp before
asking you people so i guess i'll have to put up with it
if it happens again.
When i shutdown after posting the message it was fine...i
guess it can be as temperamental as people are!
Still got the long shutdown problem though.
Thanks anyway
