Long Distance Faxing

I can't seem to get my Fax Modem to fax long distance, i
don't have any trouble to send a local fax ,but not long
distance.I think i have followed the dialing rules for my
area. I was wondering if anyone else was having this
problem,My Modem is Intel{R}537Data Fax V.90Modem
attached to COM3

Like all of its predecessors, the Windows XP Fax service will not process
dialing rules unless the phone number to which you are sending the fax is in
"international format." Details on how to use international format to invoke
dialing rules are available here:
