Logout facility

Does anyone know of an easy step by step script to use as
a logout function on a site created in Frontpage 2002? I
have looked at a few but they are quite complicated. I
already have a password protecting a folder within the
site but I would preferably like to have the facility to
logout as well.

How have you implement the login function, via FP Extensions, as scripts or
the OS?

I got the hosts to place a password on the specific folder
where you have to type in a username and password. It is
only the one for all members that have applied, there are
no individual passwords. Although, in saying that,
originally we were going to try and set up a database so
that each member could have their own password, but
thought it would be too much of a hassle.

Ok, since the login is control by the OS, then users must close their
browser to log out.

Yes, I know that, but if there is another method I could
use whereby I get the hosts to remove the password and
then if I can put a different log in/log out facility in,
that would be good. The whole idea is to be able to log
out properly rather than just by closing the browser which
isn't really satisfactory.

You would need to use a database and a server-side script, such as ASP,
ASP.net, PHP, CFM, etc. to accomplish.

Okay, thanks for that anyway, Thomas.
