When I try to logon to Windows XP I get an error message:
Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be
loaded. Check that you are connected to the network or
that your network is working correctly. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi GB,

The steps outlined in the following KB Article may allow for a resolution.

288750 Disk Quota Default Setting Prevents Logon Request
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=288750

If Disk Quotas are not in place, you may indeed have a corrupt profile. If
that were true you would need to log in as the administrator, create a new
user and then log in with that new user's profile. If that turned out to be
necessary, you would then need to manually copy the essential files,
favorites, shortcuts, etc from the old profile to the new one manually.
Tip: each profile is kept in a folder structure by user name under
C:\documents and settings.
