I have a new Dell laptop I just purchased and I am having some problems with
the screen resolution changing randomly when coming back from standby. It
does not happen all the time, but when it does it changes to 1280 x 800. I
have a widescreen that has a native resolution of 1440 x 900, so everything
looks horrible when this happens. It is also a huge pain in my A to have to
change the resolution like every time I come back from a standby.
I have created a program in C# that changes the resolution of my screen. I
added this to my Group Policy in the logon scripts hoping that when I log
back in the program will fire off and my resolution will change.
The problem is that when I log back in, I do not think this is considered
‘logging back in’. I never really logged out, I just have to put my
password in to get back into windows. Is there an event that I can attach
this program to when I put my password in it will change my resolution?
I am desperate for something to get this working because its soooo annoying
changing the resolution almost every time you boot your computer up from
standby. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tommy Kelly.
