I had me pc set to boot with XP right up to the desktop with no account
clicking. With the latest MS Updates... I now have to click on an account to
get to the desktop. How do I get it back to booting right to the desktop?
It's just me here, so no problem with security at boot up.
Thanks!
Steve

The update may have created a new user ASPNet something or another, part
of the .net framework update. Because you have more than one user, you get
the logon screen.

Go to run->type in "control userpasswords2" no quotes, and uncheck "user
must enter a username and password to use this computer"

Hi Speez,

The .Net Framework update adds another user. To workaround this issue:

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)
