logon problems

Can´t seem to log on to the internet. Everything tells me it is working
but just can´t get on.

I am on ADSL through a router and my other PC logs on perfectly.

Any suggestions?

More details, please. Are there error messages? Exactly what does "log
on" mean? What do you do? What does the computer do (or not do)?
