ok, i'm at the point of utter frustration. I used to
have it set so that at boot up windows would automaticly
log me on as I am the only user. Now I get this window
where i have to enter my user name & password (password
is blank). Anyhow someone the other day told me to run
control userpasswords2 and to remove the check from Users
must enter a user name.... anyhow after doing that and
rebooting it logs me as an administrator (which my other
account was anyhow). I went back into control
userpasswords2 to delete the user name Administrator but
it will not let me. Please help!!!

/so frustrated!

Hi ... You shouldn't need to delete anything ... but that
person was right to take off the check marks and you
should ... when you have done that reboot your computer
ok ... Then when you have reboot without the check marks
go back and add those check mark that you took off ,
reboot again and this time it should be back the way you
like it

There is only the one checkmark.
typing control userpasswords2 into the run command opens
up User Accounts. In there it shows I have 3 user names,
admin. mine and guest, but when i go into user accounts
when loged into my account it only shows mine and an
inactive user account. When I do the same when it boots
me into admin, I see 3 acounts, the admin, mine and the
unused guest acount.

Ok, so i think that kinda helped, I have uninstalled it,
and was able to dissable that Admin account, however it
still gives me that windows logon. Any other thoughts?

yes if you would of done what i posted the first time it
would of fix your problem ... Now make sure that there is
2 check mark on and off after each reboot ... If you look
at that area there you will see that you can add 2 and
take off 2 ( check marks ) , Now one check box might be
greyed out and that because of the other check box is
causing that it ... just play around with those check
Box area and try to get both on and off ... Remember to
reboot when you have taken them off and then readd them
back on again , reboot and that should of done it

Buddy

Thank you so much....I followed your instructions and got rid of the same logon issues that Andre was having.

It does not seem to work, after each reboot it goes into
this seemingly phantom admin acount that can only be seen
if i go in user accounts while logged into it(along with
the acount that I would rather use). When I log off it
brings me to a windows logon screen where once loged on
and a check of the user acounts shows only the acount i'm
loged into.
