Logon Forces Itself Upon Me

Instead of opening up directly into Windows XP Pro at startup, my PC now
requires me to enter a password.

I am the only user of this PC and always have been.

There are no guest accounts.

Changing startup otions in User Accounts does not fix this problem.

How do I get my PC to open as before?

use tweakuiXP (free download from MS powertoys site) to automatically
logon (and it does a lot else as well). If that's too much trouble,
start, run, 'control userpasswords2' (no quotes) and set automatic logon
that way.
