Yes it can. First you must change a setting on the
terminal server itself. Go to Administrative tools, then
Terminal Services Configuration. Once opened, In the right
pane, right click on the default RDP-Tcp connection and
select properties. Click on Logon Settings tab. Make
sure "Use client-provided logon information" is checked,
and make sure you uncheck the "Always prompt for password"
On the client side, select general tab, fill in logon info
and select save password.
Important side note: I was beating my head on this one
until I finnaly found the KB on MS support site. The
latest RDP client and 2000 TS Server do not like long user
names on automatic logons. I try to use 8 characters or
less for Usernames on Automatic RDP logons. for anything
else it works fine.
