Logo Testing

I tried to install DirectX 9.0 and it did not pass
windows logo test and wouldnt let me continue anyway.
How do i disable Windows logo test or alternatively set
it so that it will permit DirectX?

Try the troubleshooting steps in the Windows Update Troubleshooter:

Under:
When installing an update you receive the following message: "Software you
are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing"
