Logo Error IE Install

This one tops all I have ever seen. I am trying to
reinstall MICROSOFT IE on MICROSOFT XP but, installation
fails everytime saying "The software that I am installing
has not passed the windows logo testing to verify it's
compatibility". What the hell !!! I even stopped the
Cryptographic Services. Any suggestions??? HELP!!
 
No Guarantee, but...

When I was installing a USB to Parallel adapter from
RadioShack but manufactured by Prolific Technology I got
that same message.

The instructions told me to click "Continue Anyway" and I
did and the cable/adapter works just fine.

Oops didnt see this before posting mine. Yes i'm getting
the exact same problem on my computer although with an
update for IE 6 rather than a reinstall. The annoying
thing is that everytime I login it tries to update it but
it can't.

I am having the same problem. Any other suggestions?

did you ever get a reply to this? I'm having the same
issue after a recent repair restallation of XP. I've
tried the fixes that the Microsoft support pages list,
but none helped.
