Logitech QuickCam Messenger audio won't work with msn messenger

I have been trying to get the audio to work with my Logitech QuickCam
Messenger webcam on MSN Messenger, but am having trouble. I know that the
audio on the cam is fine, as the audio recorder on windows xp does work. I
am running version 6.1 of msn messenger with a dsl connection.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Jeffrey,

Are you behind a firewall or NAT router? MSN Messenger audio and
video is tricky because of the network connections used by MSN
Messenger.

Have you tried audio / video with Yahoo Messenger? It's lower quality
(the latency induced by use of Yahoo servers for instance), but it
does work.

Is the other end of your conversation compatible? Remember the
diufferences between MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger.
