Logitech cordless mouse

Hi,

I just purchased a logitech cordless mouse and keyboard
bundle which I use under xp.
The keyboard works fine but I cannot get the mouse to work
at all.
I went on logitech site, installed the latest drivers and
followed all instructions, but still no luck.

I wondered if anyone encountered similar issues and if
this could be a xp related problem.

Ensure you have a fresh pair of batteries. Using the supplied adapter, plug
the receiver into the PS/2 port. If you don't have an adapter, use the USB
port. Reboot. Under your mouse is a red button. You'll need a pencil or
similar to depress it. Do so once or twice. Also, press the black button on
the receiver.
