When I log on I get the following message:

hkcmd Module has encountered a problem and needs to close

After thsi message the system becomes sluggish i.e. it takes almost 5
minutes to log on.

I have removed almost all of the startup programs except for MS stuf.

How can I fix?

Thanks,

Ray

Filename: hkcmd.exe
Comments: Installed by the Intel 810 and 815 chipset graphic drivers. If
you want the Ctrl+Alt+F12 or similar keypresses to access Intel's customised
graphics properties, you need it, otherwise not. Can be disabled via the
Display Properties in Control Panel

Only happened on one of our pcs on our network but got rid of it by updating
the adapter driver (through display, settings, advanced, adapter, update
driver).
Hope this helps.

I get the same hkcmd module needs to close message. Could you please be more
specific in your instructions on how to disable it? I looked control
panel>display but did not see any list of things to uncheck or remove.
