Logging into Windows

Problem after i log into Windows... only wallpaper is showing.. nothing else
no icons no start button nothing.. safe mode is not working so what can i do
apart from rebooting??

At the blank desktop, press CNTL+ALT+DEL twice. See If that brings up the Task Manager.
If yes, click "File", "New Task (Run...)", and type: explorer.exe
If that works, download the repair tools:

Last known good config may work [power up and tap the F8 key to
get the boot menu] else try doing Ctr+Alt+Del on your blank Desktop and
see if explorer will load, if it does, do a system restore.
