logging in the console

Is there a way, once a server is rebooted, to connect via
terminal services but be able to log the server in at the
console?

With the latest Terminal Services Client, MSTSC.EXE, try:

mstsc.exe /console

and then use the client UI to connect to the server you would like.

Can this be done when the server is running in
administrative mode? We're trying to see if terminal
services can be used as a replacement to PcAnywhere and
need to be able to get a view of the console as if
standing right in front of the server. I've tried what
you have listed below but no dice... Not sure if I'm
missing a setting or something.

You can connect to the console on Windows Server 2003 TS, but NOT in 2000. If you logon using "mstsc /console" you'll logoff anyone else who's currently using the console session. If you logon and you're the person logged onto the console session, you'll connect to that session from your Remote Desktop Client.

Yes this works in remote admin mode. What OS is the server and what
version of the client are you using?
