How do I set my PC/Windows XP Professional to automatically log into a
particular user, without pausing at the select user screen for user input
during start-up? Thanks in advance!

Thanks!
One problem. I can't seem to recall my password. I got used to being logged
in automatically before I added another user. Before, I am the only user of
the PC, an administrator. The other user I added is a limited account.

So logon as (the) 'Administrator' (need to be in safe mode in XP home)
and reset the password on your normal admin account (or create a new
one).

The default password for 'Administrator' (assuming you didn't change it
when XP was installed) is blank.

As a user with Admin status, do Start - Run and run the line
control userpasswords2

There, uncheck the box 'Users must give a Username. . . .' and Apply -
you will be asked to specify the user and password (possibly blank) to
be used
