Logging file access

Is it possible to setup Windows 2000 Advanced server to
log when certain files are accessed?

OK, Im sorry to be so harsh but if you dont know the
answer to this question, maybe you shouldnt be messing
with w2k ad server.

Auditing is what you are looking for. You can setup
auditing at the folder or file level. Right click the
folder/file and select sharing and security. Then select
advanced. Then select the auditing tab. You can audit
the "everyone" group to monitor access from all users or
add individual users. That is up to you.

Invest in a good Microsoft book..
